5 STAR-August 2024- This was the perfect spot for our family retreat. The mountain house was clan and well-appointed. We enjoyed the cozy living room with fireplace, the game room with activities for all ages, and the outdoor deck with plenty of seating to experience the breeze and the scenic view. Dave & Stacy were responsive hosts. We hope to return!- Janis
5 STAR-June 2024-This house was beautiful. We enjoyed everything about our stay. The house is spacious and the view from the porch is amazing. The kids enjoyed the bunk room and game room. Dave & Stacy were great to work with and we will definitely stay here in the future!! -Tim

5 STAR-April 2024- Our multi family group of 10 people truly enjoyed our stay at “The Great Escape!”. The home offered great space so everyone could find private time or gather in the fantastic game room for tons of fun. The home was exceptionally clean and well appointed, and was equidistant to everything the Banner Elk/Boone high country has to offer. Our kids did not want to leave! We will definitely be returning on a future visit to the high country from the coast!- Eric
5 STAR-March 2024- The Great Escape was awesome for our family spring break vacation! The home was perfect for our needs and Dave was always responsive and a great superhost! The grandchildren enjoyed exploring the area, rolling down the hill, singing in the hot tub and dancing by the fire while munching on S’mores! 5 STAR-February 2024- I had such an incredible time at The Great Escape. My friends and I drove up for a birthday celebration, and there was more than enough room for all of us. The atmosphere of the cabin is so well thought out and personalized. Each room has its own theme, and is decorated so adorably! The rooms are large, bathrooms spotless, and they provided everything we needed to be comfortable. The kitchen too! I’ve never seen an Airbnb with so many plates and cups, cooking utensils and pans. The highlights for us were definitely the large hot tub, the game room and the bonfire. All 8 of us could easily fit in the hot tub without feeling cramped. Between the pool table, foosball, arcade machine, and the wall of board games, we didn’t even need the ones we brought. The hosts were also helpful and responsive with recommendations. This place is great for both families and just adults! I would go again in a heartbeat. The price is hard to beat, let alone the gorgeous mountain views. Thank you Stacy!!!- Ava
5 STAR-February 2024- Our family (9 adults 2 children) grandparents, parents, children , and grandchildren all had a great time. We all skied at Beech Mountain. Which is not very far away. Also, really enjoyed the game room. House was stocked with everything we needed and Host was very responsive. Hope to stay there again sometime. All in all a really great experience.- Steve

5 STAR-January 2024- We stayed here the week of 1/2. The cabin is absolutely gorgeous and very spacious. The views are breathtaking. The owners have just about everything you need for your stay. You basically just need food. Rooms are spacious, beds are super comfortable and the game room is amazing. I 1,000% recommend The Great Escape Cabin Rental. -Cybele
